History

A bar with many “stories”

Our history is the one of Pamplona, the one of its San Fermin festivals and also that of one of the bast known writers. Because the illustrious Ernest Hemingway had El Txoko (at that time “Choko”) as a traditional place to stop after the bullfights to chat for hours with his friends.
And such is the fervor that awakens his books and the passion with which he describes his trips to Pamplona, that every year dozens of American tourists visitus to ask the same drink that the writer drank: vanilla milkshake with cognac. So, if you feel like following in the foot steps of Hemingway, you now know where to stop and what to order!
